PRACTICE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION UPDATES! IMPORTANT!

Warriors,

We will hold a practice this Saturday, 9/14/13, from 9am to 11am.  The location is Thunderbird Paseo Park located at 59th Avenue and Thunderbird.  We will meet under the bridge.  Parking is available at 59th Avenue just south of Thunderbird Road.

Dress is full pads.  Please ensure your player hydrates well the night before and brings his own water.

Since we are not meeting on Wednesday or Thursday, all items required including registration fees and forms and SpiritCups orders are due at the beginning of practice on Saturday.

Certification day for our team is scheduled for Saturday 9/14/13 at Universal Athletic located at 1413 Rio Vista Blvd #1  Peoria, AZ 85381 at 2:00 p.m.  Registration fees and forms must be received by this date for your child to attend and receive his ID card.  If you are unable to attend, please let me know and we can give you an alternate date/time to attend.  You must bring your child's original birth certificate.  For the Majors division, we will use the report card you have submitted to us as proof to the league that your child is not enrolled in high school.

WHAT A GAME YESTERDAY!  Our Junior team took on the Cardinals and won 27 - 0!  Thank you to all who came out to support the boys.

As for this week's practices, we are scheduled for...

Monday, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. @ ASU West (51st Ave, South of Thunderbird)

Wednesday and Thursday, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. @ Deem Hills Park (51st Ave, North of Happy Valley)

Please email, call, or text me if your child is unable to attend practice.

PEE WEE:  Bye week

JUNIORS:  3:00 p.m. vs. the WV Titans at Glendale High School (same place as last time - 61st Ave and Glendale)

SENIORS:  8:00 a.m. vs. the Peoria Mustangs at Sunrise Mountain High School (21200 N 83rd Ave, Peoria, AZ 85382)

You must have all documents required by AYSL to your team manager Barbara (or myself) this week in order for your child to play in the game this weekend. The league is very strict in enforcing this rule.

*Code of Conduct (attached)

*Current progress report or report card

General directions:  From the North Central area, take 51st Avenue (or 43rd, or 59th) south to Glendale Ave.  Turn west (right) on Glendale Ave.  Continue on Glendale Ave until you reach 61st Ave.  Glendale High School will be on the north side of the road.

Please be sure to get in your birth certificate and Code of Conduct to me if you have not already.  It is part of a complete registration, and your child will not be able to play in the game if we do not have this information.

Also, please notify me if your child will not be able to attend the game.

Awesome Game today. Matai Warrriors brought home a Victory of 18-14 against the Monsters. [8MAN Football Pee Wee Division League AZ NW].

8-MAN BOWL

Our 8-Man team has made it to the final game! We are on the top of the standings, and will be playing in the bowl game this Saturday! Great job, team!

The final game will be played against the Monsters on Saturday 3/2/13 at 12:00 p.m at Sunrise Mountain High School. PLAYERS SHOULD BE ON THE FIELD AND READY TO PRACTICE BY 10:45 A.M.

Sunrise Mountain is at 21200 N. 83rd Avenue, Peoria, 85382.

Directions to the game:

Heading west on Loop 101, exit on Beardsley/Union Hills (exit 16). Stay straight to go on to Agua Fria Frwy. Turn slight right on to Beardsley Rd. After about 1/2 mile, turn right on to West Lake Pleasant Pkwy. Turn right on to 83rd Avenue in about 1/2 mile. In about another 1/2 mile, you will see Sunrise Mountain High School on your left. (If you've reached Lone Cactus Dr., you've gone too far!)

Heading north on Loop 101, exit on Union Hills (exit 15) and turn left on to Union Hills Dr.  Turn right on 83rd Avenue after about 1 mile.  83rd Ave will become Lake Pleasant Pkwy, so after about a total of 1 mile, turn right on to 83rd Ave.  In about 1/2 mile, you will see Sunrise Mountain High School on your left.  (If you've reached Lone Cactus Dr., you've gone too far!)
